no need to register but please share!
We would love help to spread the word about this event.
In future years, we wil have more time to prepare and will have a registration process.
Mental health is a journey we all share, and by coming together, we amplify our impact. Each step taken is a stride towards understanding, support, and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health.
More Event Details
All are welcome to join us! This is a family friendly event to bring awareness and hope. There are many suffering in silence. Let us join together to show our love and to speak up on behalf of those who need help.
We will begin the remembrance walk/run near the LDS Church on Riverbottom Road. We will have a short gathering and then walk along a peaceful path South East of the church.
The path is about 5-10-ish minutes and turns a bit and then we go under a bridge. We wil then proceed along the Dripping Rock Path for another 15 minutes.
There will be a memorial place to place your rock and any pictures of loved ones. Then we will blow bubbles at the bridge. We will then return back along the path back to the church and have cookies/treats.
This is a paved path from the parking lot. (Feel free to participate at the level that works best for your situation.)
What to bring
Please remember water bottles, good walking/running shoes, a jacket or appropriate outerware based on weather. Tell a friend! This is a family friendly event.
There will be treats afterward at the parking lot. Feel free to bring a treat to share
If you want to bring a picture of a friend or loved one, there will be a memorial place set up for the event.
We wil also have a rock painting activity so you can bring a rock or choose one nearby to leave at a designated place.
Please be mindful of cyclists and stay on the walking side of the path.
Everyone has been affected by suicide. The pain and grief are deep and yet the beliefs and culture surrounding it make it even more painful. Connection is part of the solution. Come join with us.
